Our indigenous chef from Jamaica brings you the authentic, rich flavors you've been craving. Chef Simba Puma was taught how to cook by his Grandmother when he was just a young boy. His grandma would insist on keeping him in the kitchen though he wanted to play soccer and cricket like all the other kids running barefoot around his small town in Ocho Rios. Under his grandmother's wing, he learned to make native Jamaican dishes like Ackee and salt fish- Jamaica's national dish! We're proud to say that a lot of the dishes we serve here at Jamaica House all started in Simba's grandmother's kitchen. Come on by and experience one of Portland's only authentic Jamaican restaurant's.
With the unpredictability of pandemic, we prefer that you call ahead for pick up orders. Currently we are offering dine-in! We have a large outdoor seating area that can accommodate both large and small parties. Indoor seating is available but limited to two tables at a times.
Or reserve a table for larger parties.
